Rip Cord – Rip The Strip

Rip Cord is a simple improvement upon the classic roll of packaging tape. This tape has a small string running down the center of the tape. The user pulls the string to separate the tape in half. This makes opening boxes a cinch, as there is no longer a need for scissors, knives, or keys. The packaging tape dispenser has a sharp edge with which to cut the tape, this edge is shaped such that the tape is cut to provide a tab at the center. This tape makes it easy for users to locate and lift the string.”

LACOSTE footwear Tribute Collection, 1927

The tribute collection that started last Winter continues for SS12 with a range of shoes that take us back to the sporting era of 1927 and René Lacoste’s high flying career. The four styles [pictured left and below] all feature seven stars on the tongue tabs in reference to René’s grand slam victories. With a love for hi-tops, our favourites certainly have to be the white Byront mid’s – sophisticated and understated but with a slick profile – much like the sport itself.
With the tournaments on at the moment, everyone is very much in Wimbledon fever. Whether it’s for centre court or Pimm’s on the hillside, everyone’s jumping on the wagon this year. At least you can take a piece of the Tribute Collection away now as the SS12 range is conveniently available online at We’re also loving the images of shoes – some great photography here that really does the footwear justice. Perhaps even René himself would be rather proud – if he could take his eyes of the likes of Sharapova of course.

Bell & Ross to Launch the Heure Sautante Watch

Luxury timepiece masters Bell & Ross are set to release the Heure Sautante watch in June. To you and us that simply means that they are bringing out yet another immaculate piece of engineering. The brand are known for their Bond-like styles inspired by the extreme professional lives of aviators and mariners alike. However this year, their Swiss craftsmanship has been put toward a vintage WW1 style that is ultimately – pardon the pun – timeless.
Reading the watch on the other hand is less of a classic approach with the hours displayed in a large fixed aperture and the minutes are numerically blank. It’s minimal to say the least but we love this contemporary take for the option in pink-gold [pictured left]. A sapphire crystal face comes as standard – just to really pounce on the elegance of it all. There’s also the option in platinum [pictured below] that features the same classic construction and alligator leather strap but with more of a modern face.

Swarovski Releases the Octea Abyssal Watch

Swarovski have released a sporty option into their men’s watch collection. These styles are suited to the guy with an active lifestyle and one who doesn’t want to compromise on quality with premium features like Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding. A black ceramic exterior really shows that these timepieces mean business, protected with scratch resistant, non-reflective sapphire glass – but of course. There’s a guaranteed water resistance of up to 200 metres with it’s water-tight stainless steal casing so it can handle even extreme leisure activities. Colour choices come in orange [pictured left], black and silver-tone [pictured below]. The latter is certainly the favourite  with impeccable craftsmanship and a truly masculine style that could suit most occasions with its versatility. Plus it’s also the cheaper of the trio so really it’s win win – of course this is just our opinion.
